Career

A career spent in technology companies

I have always worked at companies that provide technology, not at those that buy it. That defines how I lead: commercial growth first, and around it the operation, the services and the numbers that make it profitable.

One

Build and scale the commercial engine

Sales teams, go-to-market, forecast, channels and alliances. I implemented IBM's global cybersecurity unit in Spanish-speaking South America, organized it and grew it, and took the managed security service to de facto standard in Chile and several countries in the region. At SEK I rebuilt Chile's commercial unit.

Two

Strengthen and modernize the business

I go beyond the commercial side. Running a complete operation: processes, governance, local compliance, role architecture, integration of an acquired company and team development, with responsibility for forecast, cost, margin, billable hours, utilization, cost model and operating budget. Two decades operating inside a global matrix, leading functions that did not report to me.

Three

Technical knowledge applied to the business

Real technical depth, not slide-deck depth: CISM and CCSK, artificial intelligence applied to cybersecurity since 2015 and advice on secure AI adoption. Credibility with CISOs, CIOs and boards, and the ability to translate technology into business decisions.

Four

Voice of the industry

I chaired ACTI's Cybersecurity Committee, was a spokesperson for IBM and SEK, and write columns and take part in panels in the media and at forums. A public presence that opens conversations with clients, industry bodies and regulators.

Three countries, four chapters

My career moved with the markets, and that circulation is part of how I work: I have stepped into operations I did not know, in countries that were not my own, and rebuilt them from the inside.

How I can help

What your company gains

Growth

A commercial engine that grows

Go-to-market, sales teams, forecast, channels and alliances set up to grow steadily, with direct involvement in the large and complex deals.

Profitability

Optimize profitability

Margin, utilization, cost model and budget under control, so that what is sold is profitable and can be delivered.

Execution

From plan to operation

Processes, governance, role architecture and integration of acquired companies, across countries and within global matrices: what is decided reaches the operation and holds.

Cybersecurity

Security with a business view

Leading cybersecurity businesses since 2014: managed services, SIEM, SaaS and channels, with clients in banking, telecommunications, energy and industry. Security understood as a business, not only as technology.

Artificial intelligence

Use AI where it creates value

AI applied to cybersecurity since 2015 and today also to management: choosing the right problem and technique, measuring the value and deciding how much autonomy to delegate.

AI security

Adopt AI securely

The intersection of both, and my specialty: knowing where AI is used and with what data, governing its use and shadow AI, protecting AI systems and agents, and complying with Chile's Law 21.719 on personal data protection.

Personal

Outside the office

I have served the Chilean market since 2005 and have lived in Chile since 2009. Married, three children. Weekends are for the court and the mountain: tennis, running and snowboarding when the season allows.
